Microstepping is a way of moving the stator flux of a stepper more smoothly than in full- or half-step drive modes. This results in less vibration, and makes noiseless stepping possible down to 0 Hz. It also makes smaller step angles and better positioning possible.
The DM542 is DC18-50V power supply. It applies to 2-phase hybrid stepper motor under 4.2A current The DM542 has 15 kinds of microsteps. The maximum step number is 25600 steps/rev (microstep is 1/128). The peak operating current ranges from 1.0A to 4.2A., and the output current has 8 stalls.
